What is the attire for the wedding?

black tie optional - we request that men wear tuxedos or dark suits and women dress in floor length evening gowns.

What is the attire for the welcome party?

cocktail/semi-formal.

Are children invited?

Of course. We have so many children in our lives that we adore and we can’t wait to celebrate with them. Please make sure to include their names when you submit your RSVP. While the evening will be a lively celebration with dinner, dancing, and drinks, we trust parents to decide what’s best for their little ones.

What time should I be there?

We ask that all attendees are seated at the ceremony location no later than 4:45pm. The ceremony will begin at 5:00pm - cocktail hour and reception will immediately follow.

Will the wedding be inside or outside? What’s the weather like?

Our ceremony and cocktail hour will be located outdoors and the reception will be held in a temperature controlled tent. Please dress accordingly. We expect the temperature for the ceremony to be in the low 60s and get cooler through the night.

Where should we stay?

You are welcome to book a room at one of the two locations on the property - The Inn and The Village Hotel. We have a special rate at both. If you’d like to stay off property, we have secured room blocks at the AC Hotel at Biltmore Village and The Courtyard Marriot at Biltmore Village. Both of these are within 0.5 miles of the estate. Can I take photos during the ceremony?

You are welcome to take photos before and after the ceremony. We ask that you allow our incredible photography team capture our ceremony.

Do I have to pay for entrance into the Biltmore Estate?

No - all wedding guests gain entrance to The Biltmore Grounds for free two hours prior to the wedding on Saturday. If you’d like to explore the estate (tickets to tour the inside of the house sold separately), feel free to come early. mention the Crisp Wedding at the gate and they will direct you to the ceremony location.

Will there be transportation?

transportation to and from the wedding will be provided. We have reserved trolleys to bring guests to and from both off-property hotels and the two Biltmore Estate hotels. Trolleys will pick guests up between 4:00 and 4:15 for transfer to the ceremony location. Look for the red or white trolleys from Gray Line Asheville. You are also free to drive and park. Uber and Lyft are not recommended by the biltmore as they are not permitted past the entrance gate. Trolleys will bring guests back to the hotels at the end of the reception.

Is there parking available?

Yes, the gate attendant at the entrance of the estate will direct you to the ceremony location, Diana. There is plenty of parking available there.

Where is the Welcome Party?

The welcome party the night before is located at the lioncrest venue on the biltmore property. The gate attendant at the entrance to the estate will direct you where to go. Entrance to the estate will be free and there is plenty of parking available at the welcome party venue.

Who is invited to the Welcome Party?

All out-of-town wedding guests are invited to join us for a Welcome Party the night before the wedding! We wanted to have extra time to celebrate with our friends and family before the big day. Drinks and food will be served from 7:00 to 10:00 PM,. We can’t wait to kick off the weekend with you!
